TASTY POORI



INGREDIENTS:


2 CUPS WHITE FLOUR
1/2 CUP CORN FLOUR
1/4 CUP TSP BAKING POWDER
2-3 CUPS LUKEWARM WATER
1/2 CUP GHEE OR VEGETABLE OIL
OIL FOR DEEP FRYING

METHOD:

MIX TOGETHER WHITE FLOUR,CORN FLOUR,BAKING POWDER,GHEE AND WATER TO MAKE A SMOOTH DOUGH.MAKE SMALL BALLS (ABOUT 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER) AND FLATTEN THEM WITH THE ROLLING PIN TO MAKE POORIS.DEEP FRY IN THE OIL.

TASTY HALWA



INGREDIENTS:


1 CUP SUJI
1 CUP SUGAR
5-6 CUPS WATER
3-4 CARDAMOM
1/4 CUP GHEE OR BUTTER
2 TBS CHOPPED NUTS (OPTIONAL)
1 TBS RAISINS (OPTIONAL)

METHOD:

HEAT A PAN AND ROAST THE SUJI UNTIL IT BECOMES VERY LIGHT BROWN AND STARTS TO SMELL (ABOUT 6-7 MINUTES).ADD WATER GRADUALLY WHILE STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY.ALSO ADD SUGAR RAISINS AND COVER THE PAN
FOR 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL IT FORMS A SMOOTH PASTE.REMOVE FROM FLAME.HEAT GHEE OR BUTTER IN ANOTHER PAN,ADD CARDAMOM IN IT, AND POUR THE HALWA.SPRINKLE WITH CHOPPED NUTS.

TASTY BAKED CUSTARD



INGREDIENTS


1 TSP UNSALTED BUTTER
3 EGGS
1/3 CUP CASTER SUGAR
1/2 CUP CREAM
1-1/2 TSP VANILLA ESSENCE
2 CUPS MILK

METHOD:

GREASE AN OVENPROOF DISH OF 1.5 LITRES WITH BUTTER.PREHEAT THE OVEN AT GAS MARK 2-3.WISK TOGETHER EGGS AND SUGAR IN A LARGE BOWL UNTIL THEY ARE COMBINED.HEAT MILK FOR 2-3 MINUTES IN A SMALL SAUCEPAN.ADD THE EGG MIXTURE AND VANILLA ESSENCE AND AGAIN COOK FOR A FEW MINUTES.POUR THIS
INTO THE PREPARED OVENPROOF DISH AND BAKE FOR 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL IT IS SET AND A KNIFE INSERTED COMES OUT CLEAN.
CHILL AND SERVE YOUR YUMMY CUSTARD.

AALOO FINGERS

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 KG POTATOES (BOILED AND MASHED)
1-1/2 TSP SALT
2 TSP BLACK PEPPER
1 EGG (BEATEN)
1 CUP BREAD CRUMBS
1/2 CUP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
1/2 CUP CHOPPED MINT LEAVES
1 MEDIUM SIZED ONION (CHOPPED)
OIL FOR DEEP FRYING

METHOD:

MIX SALT,PEPPER,CORIANDER LEAVES, MINT LEAVES AND CHOPPED ONION IN THE MASHED POTATOES AND MAKE FINGERS ABOUT 2-1/2 LONG AND 0.75 WIDE.DIP THE BEATEN EGG,COAT WITH CRUMBS AND DEEP FRY.
SERVE WITH CHILLI GARLIC SAUCE AND IMLI CHUTNI.

GARLIC BREAD

INGREDIENTS:

4 LONG BUNS
4 TBS BUTTER
1-1/2 TSP SALT
1-1/2 TSP BLACK PEPPER
4 TSP GARLIC PASTE

METHOD:

PREHEAT THE OVEN AT GAS MARK 4.CUT EACH BUN IN FOUR EQUAL PIECES IN A SLANTING WAY.MIX TOGETHER BUTTER,SALT,BLACK PEPPER AND GARLIC PASTE TO MAKE A SMOOTH PASTE.APPLY THIS PASTEGENEROUSLY ON YOUR BUN PIECES.BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL YOUR BREAD IS GOLDEN AND CRISPY.

CLUB SANDWICHES

INGREDIENTS:

12 BREAD SLICES
3/4 CUP BONELESS CHICKEN
4 CHEESE SLICES
1/2 CUP MAYONNAISE
4 TBS BUTTER
2 TBS OIL
1 CUCUMBER (FINELY CHOPPED)
1 TOMATO (THINLY SLICED)
SALAD LEAVES
1/2 TSP SALT
1/2 BLACK PEPPER

METHOD:

HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND COOK THE CHICKEN BY ADDING BLACK PEPPER AND SALT.SHREAD IT ROUGHLY AND ADD IN MAYONNAISE.ALSO ADD THE CUCUMBER INTO THIS MIXTURE.ON A SLICE OF BREAD,APPLY THE MAYONNAISE MIXTURE,PUT A SALAD LEAF,COVER WITH ANOTHER SLICE AND APPLY BUTTER ON IT.PLACE SLICED TOMATOES AND CHEESE SLICE AND COVER IT WITH A THIRD BREAD SLICE.
PREPARE FOUR SANDWICHES IN THE SAME MANNER.YOUR MOUTH WATERING,DOUBLE DECKER SANDWICHES ARE READY.

PIZZA

Ingredients:

For Base:3 cup Maida1 egg1/2 cup milk1 tsp. sugar15 gram yeast2 tsp. oilSaltPizza CheeseMashrooms (Optional)1 paprika (Paharee Mirchain)2 Onions1 boiled chicken without bones (Optional)4 boiled tomatoes

Preparation:

For the Pizza Base:Add all the above ingredients of base in Maida and mix them well to make good dough. Then leave the dough for 2 hours. make round shape pizza rotee of normal thickness in any tray.
TIP: If u don't have time then Make round shape and put it oven at 200c for 2 minutes , then take the base out and make holes with folk to let the gas out of it. then again with your palm close the holes .
For the Tomato Add one chopped onion with salt, Red and green chillies.In the boiled tomatoes and grind them well.Now cover the base first with the tomato Sauce then with the vegetables and chicken.Above all cover with cheese and over it put some mashrooms.Put it in the preheated oven of 250 C for about 10 min. Delicious Italian Pizza Is Ready.

CHICKEN CHEESE ROLLS

Ingredients:

Bread slices six,Cheese slices three Cut in the middle,green peas boiled 1/2 cup,Boiled chiken pieces 1/2 cup,Egg (ONLY 1)Bread crumbs 1 cup,Oil to deep frySalt n pepper according to taste,A large bowl filled with water.

Preparation:

Cut away the brown corners of each bread(can be used to make breadcrumbs). mix together green peas,chicken pieces,salt & pepper. Now soak each bread in the water bowl only for few second. squeez between palms to drain away the water in the bread.Now place a 1/2 cheese slice in the middle of the wet bread.place 1tbsp of the green peas n chicken in the middle (elongated shape).fold around the sides of the bread to make a roll covering cheese n mixture inside. dip in beaten egg.roll in crumbs n deep fry.Serve hot with ketchup.

DAHI BARAY

Ingredients:

2 cups dal Maash Dhuli (White)Presoaked for 45 hoursPinch of baking soda1/2 teaspoon saltPinch of heeng

Preparation:

Grind the presoaked dal into a paste and add rest of the spices.Mix well and leave for 30 minutes.Then in a frying pan add 1 tbs. of oil and with the help of a spoon drop into the pan flat rounded patties and shallow fry till light brown.DO NOT TURN OVER TO FRY OTHER SIDE.Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying and then deep fry.When golden brown remove and cool.When serving, soak in a bowl of water and when a little soft squeeze out the water between palms and add to prepared yogurt.YOGURT: Beat the yogurt adding a little water to a paste.Add salt, red chili powder and 1/2 tsp. zeera powder.Garnish with sweet Imli Chutney and Chat Masala.
